Morning Musing: Mark 6:3

Then they scoffed, “He’s just a carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And his sisters live right here among us.” They were deeply offended and refused to believe in him.
‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Just a carpenter?

Just a carpenter healed the sick, fed thousands with little, opened blind eyes, raised a few dead folks. On one occasion, just to show us the greatness of God, he made sure the person (Lazarus) was not only dead but also buried and beginning to rot!

Just a carpenter made the lame walk, opened eyes that had never seen, forgave many and removed soul-crippling guilt, released many from problems that has plagued them for years, sometimes decades. Try being bent over for 18 years, or sick for 38 years.

Just a carpenter bore our sins, took our punishment, made us whole.

Just a carpenter reunited us with our Father and gave us back our place at heavens tables.

Just a carpenter did all that and much more.

Surely he was more than just a carpenter.

Imagine what God could do through you today. Then just let Him.

I am just more than just a mother, sister, daughter, or friend because the Most High lives in me x.

Morning Musings: Matthew 11:11-13

Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

— Matthew 11:11-13

JTB was the greatest man that ever lived until Christ came. He was greater than all the prophets including Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah; greater than the Kings – King David, Solomon, Hezekiah..greater than the men who God clearly had blessed and thought fondly of Joseph, Abraham, Israel… because he ushered in Christ. His ministry marked the end of an old era. He was the first to see the Promise God made since the beginning of man and our world.

Yet, the least person in God’s kingdom is greater than he. So I am greater than all the prophets, kings, warriors, and special people of old. I am greater because I have the greatest One living in me. I am no longer hoping, I am actually living it – The life that thousands, maybe millions looked forward to and never saw. We are so so precious and blessed.

Yet we have another hope, because we look forward to His return and our return home. Selah

He lives in me x
