Morning Musing: Ephesians 3:20-21

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Ephesians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My Father does not do little! Nor does He just stick with the exact request. When we ask for a bucket, He gives an ocean. He goes over, above and beyond. He does not merely respond to spoken prayers. He also responds to the unspoken thoughts.

So whatever we are asking Him today, we know that more than enough will be given to us. Everything is given in lavish quantity. Our prayers and thoughts answered in big ways. Before He pours out a blessing on us, first, He gets a good measure of it, presses it down, shakes it together (to give room for even more), He may repeat this a few times before He pours it on us.

He does not need to ration. All things belong to Him. And if what we need does not yet exist, He that made all things can create it.

Awesome God!

Like our Father, we too ought to be above and beyond in everything. At work, at home, in our communities, let us give wholeheartedly and go beyond just what is expected of us.

Live Lavishly. Love Lavishly.

Morning Musings: Matthew 11:11-13

Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

— Matthew 11:11-13

JTB was the greatest man that ever lived until Christ came. He was greater than all the prophets including Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah; greater than the Kings – King David, Solomon, Hezekiah..greater than the men who God clearly had blessed and thought fondly of Joseph, Abraham, Israel… because he ushered in Christ. His ministry marked the end of an old era. He was the first to see the Promise God made since the beginning of man and our world.

Yet, the least person in God’s kingdom is greater than he. So I am greater than all the prophets, kings, warriors, and special people of old. I am greater because I have the greatest One living in me. I am no longer hoping, I am actually living it – The life that thousands, maybe millions looked forward to and never saw. We are so so precious and blessed.

Yet we have another hope, because we look forward to His return and our return home. Selah

He lives in me x
